Amalfi Coast Transfers, Where will I find the driver?

Your private driver will meet you at your scheduled pickup location, holding an Amalfi Coast Destination meeting sign with your name clearly displayed  on it.
For Train Station Arrivals:
Upon arrival, from the scheduled train’s arrival platform please walk towards platform 24. Your private driver will meet you as soon as you exit with your name clearly displayed on an Amalfi Coast Destination meeting sign.
Travelling by train to Naples, please be sure to  unboard the train at NAPLES CENTRALE TRAIN STATION ( also known as Piazza Garibaldi ).
In case of delay, the transfer will include a 45 minutes wait, please note that for any additional time a charge will be applied according to the standard hourly rate.
For Airport Arrivals: Upon arrival and luggage claim your private driver will meet you in the Arrivals Hall of the airport which is located as soon as you exit through the sliding doors of your flight scheduled terminal.
For Hotel/Accommodation Pick-Up:Your private driver will meet you in your hotel lobby previously announcing your name at the front desk at a pre agreed meeting time and will then proceed for the transfer. If a location is not accessible by vehicle, an alternative pick up location will be indicated accordingly.
Port Arrivals: Your private driver will meet you on the pier nearby your scheduled ferry or tendered ashore ( cruising the Med ) following disembarkation with your name clearly displayed on an Amalfi Coast Destination meeting sign.

How do I pay the service/s?

Payment can be made by Credit Card ( Visa & Mastercard ) or in cash/euro at the end of the service.
A credit card number will be required at the SOLO purpose to guarantee the service/s. No Charge will be applied.
With your kindest reservation further detailed info will be forwarded and your preferred method of payment will be pre agreed.

What about your cancellation policy ?

Amalfi Coast Destination will not require or apply any kind of charge on your credit card as a deposit. Written notice must be received by us via email at least 7 days prior to the date of the reservation. If is not done in these terms, for late cancellation or No Show,  our company reserves the right to charge the total cost of the service on the credit card provided at the time of the booking.

Cruise Shore Excursions. How do I locate the driver?


With our reservation confirmation you will also receive complete details including driver’s info and the meeting arrangements at the cruise ports of Naples & Salerno, or at the harbors of Amalfi & Sorrento then tendered ashore. Is there any charge if the ship doesn't dock?

As previously mentioned, personal credit card details are required at the SOLO purpose to to guarantee the service/s. No Charge is applied.
If the ship doesn’t dock due to sea conditions or if so for any other reason, this of course is completely out of our guests’ control so you cannot be in charge.
Keeping in touch with our guests we will automatically re-schedule the tour at the scheduled port.Please note that according to our cancellation policy, a fee will be charged if the tour gets cancelled for any other reason within the 7 days cancellation period.

What is the difference between a tour guide and a driver-guide?


A tour driver and a tour guide are not the same. When booking a private tour, it is important to understand the difference so you know exactly what you are paying for. A tour guide holds an official license, usually issued by the state or country, and has completed formal studies in the history and culture of the sites you will visit. Guides are permitted to enter historical sites with you and provide detailed explanations. Their services are naturally an additional cost.

A tour driver, on the other hand, is not licensed as a guide, has not attended guide school, and is not permitted to enter sites to provide historical commentary. Their services are therefore more economical. Many drivers are very knowledgeable about local history and culture, but they are legally required to provide explanations only while inside the vehicle. Once you are dropped off, they cannot offer historical explanations, as doing so may result in fines issued by the authorities.

Will our driver wait & keep our luggage safe during our tour?

With your customized transfer to/from your scheduled destination including during the service a tour of the Amalfi Coast or a stop en route at the archaeological sites (Pompeii, Herculaneum or Mt.Vesuvius),to a specific required area or location, your private driver will of course be waiting for you keeping your luggage safe in the car.
